Job description

We are looking for an EYFS and Extended School Lead to lead our high quality Early Years provision. This includes our Reception classes in the main academy, an extensive Nursery and term time Extended Schools including a Breakfast Club and After School provision. Our Nursery is open from 7.45am to 6.00pm daily with 60 places available from 3 months up. Our Extended Schools provision is open 7.45am to 6.00pm daily. The main duties of the role will include: To ensure the effective organisation of the EYFS (Nursery and Reception) and Extended Schools provision, maintaining high standards for all pupils. To be responsible for the strategic direction and development of the learning and achievement of EYFS with the support of, and under the direction of the leadership team. To be accountable for high quality teaching that supports rising levels of attainment in EYFS and to support, hold accountable, develop and lead a team. This is a full time role for 37 hours per week, working 52 weeks with annual leave entitlement which can also be taken in term time rather than under normal teachers terms and conditions as per the Burgundy Book. The Nursery provision is open for approximately 49 weeks of the year. Our Reception and Extended Schools provision is open term time only. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills ensuring all Early Years policies and processes are implemented and followed to ensure high quality teaching and learning in all settings.
