A prestigious firm in London is seeking an Executive Assistant to support an UHNW Founder. This role offers a competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 plus benefits and serves as a potential career launchpad. The Executive Assistant will manage daily operations including diary management, travel, and assist in philanthropy and personal projects. Flexibility is expected, particularly during the Founder's travel periods.
I’m not normally a fan of maternity contract roles; you’re usually nothing more than a ‘stop gap’ and the relationship can feel terribly one-sided.
If you need a role, then great, but if you’re looking for a career move, then these are generally not the one you’re after.
Until I saw this one.
A very longstanding Executive Assistant, who has been with the Founder for over seven years, is departing to have a baby. What it leaves behind is a baby-sized gift for someone to learn from.
This role could then serve as a launchpad for bigger things in your career.
Supporting the UHNW Founder across his epically brilliant business, you’ll do all of the everyday things (Diary, Travel, Meetings), prepare board materials, create presentations and triage everything that he doesn’t need to see or be involved in.
In addition, and this is where it starts to get interesting, you’ll also work alongside a dedicated Private PA to oversee all aspects of his Private Family Office, assisting with personal family projects, philanthropy and the creation of private family events.
When it comes to Philanthropy, you’ll act as a mentor and work alongside a Private PA on projects that actually matter.
You’ll also be heavily involved in one of the most incredible art collections I’ve seen in twenty-plus years of recruiting in this area.
Now, for the challenging part, and I apologise if this means we can’t include you in the process.
You’ll need extensive experience in supporting a UHNW Founder, and you’ll need to be able to demonstrate the ability not only to exist but thrive by the side of one of the most driven, ambitious Founders you’re likely to ever come across in your career.
Whilst ambition and speed are at the forefront, what we do know (because the EA who’s leaving on maternity leave has worked with him for seven years) is that he’s a grounded, normal (well as much as you can be), fair, reasonable Principal.
He has high standards, he expects a lot, but he’s not expecting miracles. We’re confident that if you have the right level of exposure to the UHNW world, then with a significant handover, you’ll be on the right track and footing to thrive.
Salary range is £80,000 - £100,000 Basic salary + Benefits
Duration is likely to be 12-14 months
The role is based mainly in the office (9am – 6pm), however, over the duration of the role you can expect a level of flexibility, especially when the Founder is travelling (think very Adult environment).
Flexibility is a mutual thing, and there will be times over weekends and bank holidays when you may receive a quick message that needs to be dealt with as soon as it arrives.
