3-7 hours / week or 7-15 hours / week Ideally someone who can be present for monthly Board Meetings - F2F or online - however the ideal candidate will be measured on merit, not locality., Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, you will be at the heart of the Foundation's operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
- Diary and meeting coordination (schedules, Board meetings, committee calls, events)
- Preparing agendas and supporting papers in advance of meetings
- Accurate minute-taking, capturing decisions, actions, and responsibilities
- Tracking and following up on action points to ensure timely completion
- Maintaining governance records and documentation with accuracy and efficiency
- Liaising with external stakeholders, partners, and high-profile contacts on behalf of the Board
- Assisting with logistics for events, briefings, and presentations
- Supporting compliance with charity governance standards
- Tracking priorities and ensuring all tasks and projects meet agreed deadlines
- Confident use of a range of IT systems, productivity tools, and document-sharing platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom, Trello, Dropbox, etc.)
- Play a pivotal role in enabling the Board to work strategically, maximise efficiency, keep actions on track, and ensure timely delivery of all commitments

- Experience as a PA to a senior executive and/or Board Administrator
- Minimum 5 years professional experience including general management
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Confidence when engaging with senior stakeholders and high-profile contacts in addition to volunteers
- Proficient IT user with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new apps and tools
- Discretion, professionalism, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to co-ordinate and manage events
- Familiarity with charity governance (desirable but not essential)
- Passion for education, STEM, or social impact is a big plus!
