Role overview – Events Team

The Events Team designs and delivers high‑impact development events that support policing professionalisation. They collaborate with College departments, forces, partners and government bodies to ensure every event is operationally sound and aligned with national priorities. The team manages about 50 events a year and provides line‑management to staff.

Person specification

Responsibilities include:

  • Line‑manage, mentor and develop College Event Coordinators, ensuring high performance standards.
  • Develop strong customer‑focused relationships with key clients and stakeholders, resolving issues and informing planning.
  • Coordinate planning, operational and financial management of large, complex events, safeguarding College policies.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a professional event‑management service to internal and external clients.

To be successful you will need:

  • A Level 4 qualification (e.g. HNC, BTEC, NVQ Level 4) in event management or demonstrable experience in an event‑management role.
  • Experience managing diverse activities, multitasking and meeting tight deadlines in a pressurised environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
