An education quality organization in Gloucester is seeking an Events Coordinator to ensure the smooth delivery of online and in-person events. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on event logistics and user experience management. Candidates should have experience with online platforms such as Cvent, Teams, and Zoom, and be proactive problem-solvers. The position is full-time for a 6-month fixed-term contract, requiring collaboration across teams to enhance operational processes.
QAA is the UK's independent quality body for tertiary education, dedicated to ensuring students and learners experience the highest possible quality of education. As the UK's authority on quality and standards, we act as the custodian of reference points including the UK Quality Code for Higher Education, Subject Benchmark Statements, and the Frameworks for Higher Education Qualifications. Our trusted partnership extends across the UK, working with governments and funding bodies to meet each nation's needs while supporting international students and transnational education.
The Events Coordinator plays an essential role in ensuring the smooth delivery of QAA's online and in-person events. Working behind the scenes, you will coordinate event logistics, support improvements to our digital event platforms, and contribute to key operational processes that design, deliver, and evaluate positive event experiences for our members and stakeholders.
As the go-to person for our online events platforms (Cvent, Teams, and Zoom), you will support colleagues with setup, registrations, and troubleshooting. You will manage event enquiries, help ensure we adhere to event‑related compliance obligations, coordinate event materials and merchandise, and support the analysis of event feedback to drive continuous improvement. This role is key to the evolution of our events approach, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve user experience, and strengthen integration with other systems.
Full time, 6-month fixed term contract
We are looking for someone who is organised, detail oriented, and solutions focused, with experience supporting the delivery of events in a fast‑paced environment. You will be confident working with online platforms and systems, comfortable managing multiple tasks at once, and proactive in resolving issues quickly and effectively. You will bring strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, enjoying working with colleagues across teams to share knowledge and improve ways of working.
If you enjoy making things work better behind the scenes and want to play a key role in delivering high‑quality events, we would love to hear from you.
