Job description
Overview

Property Maintenance & Refurbishment Estimator/QS – full-time position covering the London area. Salary from £55,000 PAYE/CIS-based, with overtime available if required.

Responsibilities
  • Estimating a wide variety of maintenance and refurbishment projects, from small jobs to multi-week, multi-trade refurbishments up to £250k in value, including bathroom and kitchen fitting, whole house refurbishment, carpentry, plumbing, basic electrics, pointing, tiling, plastering and decorating
  • Setting up jobs with tradesmen on site at project start, maintaining contact throughout the works as required and completing strict QC at the end, signing jobs off with clients and without snagging issues
  • Providing exceptional customer service and communication
  • Completing required paperwork to the highest standard
  • Working to health & safety guidelines
  • Maintaining a professional presentation at all times
Role Requirements
  • Extensive experience across all trades, with time-served experience and up-to-date relevant qualifications
  • Excellent communications skills with clients, tradesmen, and in written form for submitting invoices
  • Good understanding of costs, with ability to cost-reduce where required
  • A flexible, friendly and helpful attitude, especially with layman clients who are not savvy with building practices
  • A full, clean driving licence; further travel may be required by public transport for speed and economy
