A leading construction firm based in Cambridge is looking for an experienced Construction Estimator. This role involves preparing cost estimates and supporting bid strategies within the commercial market. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in estimating software and MS Office. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a proven track record in the local market. A full UK driving license is preferred.

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join an established but growing main contractor based in Cambridge working within the Commercial market. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong track record of producing accurate, timely estimations for construction projects across the region.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender submissions
Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
Work closely with project managers and directors to support bid strategies
Conduct site visits and support pre-construction planning
Monitor industry trends and maintain strong market knowledge within Cambridgeshire
Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator within the Cambridgeshire market
Strong understanding of local suppliers, subcontractors, and pricing structures
Able to work independently, proactively, and with minimal supervision
Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills
Proficient with estimating software and MS Office
Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines
Full UK driving licence preferred
