About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join an established but growing main contractor based in Cambridge working within the Commercial market. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong track record of producing accurate, timely estimations for construction projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender submissions

  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents

  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations

  • Work closely with project managers and directors to support bid strategies

  • Conduct site visits and support pre-construction planning

  • Monitor industry trends and maintain strong market knowledge within Cambridgeshire

  • Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives

About You
  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator within the Cambridgeshire market

  • Strong understanding of local suppliers, subcontractors, and pricing structures

  • Able to work independently, proactively, and with minimal supervision

  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills

  • Proficient with estimating software and MS Office

  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines

  • Full UK driving licence preferred
