Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an Estates Technician to work alongside professionals who care about delivering a first class service.
Having a direct impact on our patient’s experience, you will demonstrate exceptional organisational skills and experience to effectively manage resources dedicated to the operation and maintenance of the Estate, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, NHS standards, specifications, policy and guidance.
You will be part of a team responsible for delivering a comprehensive maintenance and installation service across the Trust’s estates, which will be responsive, efficient, financially effective and to a high standard. You should possess good IT and communication skills and be prepared to participate in an on-call rota.
It is essential that you are a fully trained, time served Craftsperson, who followed a recognised C&G apprenticeship and achieved HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline. You must have a working knowledge across a broad range of engineering activities including computerised control systems.
The role involves providing engineering support and advice relating to buildings, plant and equipment, and delivering day-to-day maintenance and engineering schemes.
You should also be able to work as part of an on-call rota covering all aspects of building construction and maintenance, hold a current full driver’s license, and live within a 40 minute travelling radius of the Hospital.
