A regional healthcare provider in Bognor Regis is seeking a maintenance specialist responsible for ensuring the reliability of building maintenance and engineering infrastructure. The successful candidate will oversee compliance with regulations, manage the upkeep of estates grounds, and support the Estates operatives. As maintenance specialist, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of building maintenance, engineering infrastructure, systems and equipment. This will include the guidance and support to Estates operatives to ensure compliance with legislation, local policy and best practice. The postholder will also be responsible for managing the upkeep of the Estates Grounds and Gardens.
The post holder will be accountable to the Head of Estates Operations for areas of responsibility including Lifting Equipment Regulations, Low Voltage Electrical Safety, Medical Gases, Critical Ventilation, Legionella, and Water Systems, assuming the responsibilities of the authorised person’s roles.

There will be an ongoing clear focus upon balancing the planned maintenance activities with the responsive repairs service. The post holder will deputise for the Estates Engineering Manager. Please refer to Job Description and Person Specification for this post.
