Estates and Facilities within NHS Blood and Transplant are different to anywhere else in the NHS (and other organisations too). We operate from 90 properties across England, but its the nature of the sites rather than the size of the portfolio that really matters. Each main site incorporates laboratories (where blood is processed, samples are tested), we operate apheresis units (for the collection of blood / therapeutic work), occupy offices, mobile team bases and warehouses (where stocks are stored to support the day-to-day operation). Its this diversity of services and support that makes these roles stand out.
