Qualifications

We’re looking for an ESOL Tutor to join our friendly and passionate team at our Leicester Training Centre on a fixed-term contract. If you’re someone who thrives on supporting learners with diverse needs, delivering high-quality English language education, and helping every learner achieve their potential – this could be your perfect role.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Delivering learning that sticks – Plan and deliver engaging ESOL lessons to groups and individuals, supporting learners to develop their English language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Creating impact – Assess learners’ work, provide meaningful feedback, track progress, and help learners achieve their learning goals.
  • Being a support superstar – Work closely with learners, families, and support services to ensure each individual receives tailored support to succeed.
  • Driving progression – Encourage learners to participate in projects, workshops, and activities that enhance employability, independence, and further study opportunities.
  • Making reasonable adjustments – Ensure that learning environments and materials are accessible, including support for exams or additional learning needs.
Qualifications And Experience

We’re looking for someone with passion and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in teaching ESOL alongside relevant qualifications and experience.

Essential
  • Level 2 in English and Maths (minimum)
  • Level 4 Teaching Qualification (or equivalent)
  • Relevant ESOL teaching qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Award in ESOL)
  • Experience supporting learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Desirable
  • Level 5 Teaching Qualification
  • Experience teaching learners aged 16–24
  • Additional teaching qualifications in English, Literacy, or English for Specific Purposes (ESP)
  • Safeguarding and/or Equality and Diversity qualifications
