Qualifications

  • Hold a specialist Level 5 or above ESOL teaching qualification.
  • Have a Level 2 or higher Mathematics qualification.
  • Possess a Level 2 or higher English qualification.
  • Substantial teaching experience in ESOL/EFL.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver formal scheduled teaching at all levels.
  • Act as a personal tutor to a group of students.
  • Prepare learning materials and assess students’ assignments.
  • Mark and moderate students’ work and examinations.
  • Participate in monitoring and evaluating programme components.
  • Maintain appropriate programmes and college records.

Skills

ESOL teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA)
Mathematics qualification at Level 2 or higher
English qualification at Level 2 or higher
Successful teaching experience in ESOL/EFL

Location: Conway Park Campus, Wirral Metropolitan College
Term: 12 months (January 2026 – December 2026)
Hours: 35 hrs/week
Salary: £30,202 – £41,769 per annum
