Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Co-ordinator to join our established and high-performing EHS team based in Wigan. This role involves occasional travel to support subsidiary companies, ensuring a strong EHS culture across our operations. This role is ideal for an individual looking to pursue a career in Health and Safety. The right person will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as advanced IT proficiency in tools such as PowerPoint, Monday.com, Canva, Excel, and data collection platforms.
Responsibilities
- Following incident work with EHS team to compile lessons learnt for the group. (to be approved by Head of EHS prior to distribution)
- Contractor Management: Maintain an approved list.
- SSIP/Insurance criteria to be obtained and checked.
- Working with Pre-Construction, Operational and Commercial departments to ensure companies are signed off and approved.
- Compile Quarterly Newsletter/ Communications: EHS Newsletter (capturing highlights/ initiatives).
- Other EHS communications such as lessons learnt, alerts and other initiatives.
- Support With Dashboards/ Record Keeping: Data analysis / gathering; KPI tracking; organize, record, and retain records, processes, and procedures.
- Presentation compilation: Gather and compile information for presentations including EHS Partnering Meetings, EHS Project Lead Meetings, Quarterly Management Review.
- Systems: Management of internal health and safety system - Work Wallet; managing dashboards on Mondays.com.
- Procedures: Formatting; refining processes and procedures (document control).
- SSIP/Accreditations: Assist with compilation and submission of information for SSIP.
- Training Support where required: Course Booking; POs Raised; Joining Instructions Issued; Identify non-attendees; Grants monitored, checked and costs reconciled; Training Matrix updated (Domis/ Matic/ Wrights etc.); Prepare updates for training in period / booked / expiring / AOB; Identify requirements and source relevant courses and dates, liaise with attendees.
- Advantageous: Experience within the construction industry, either on-site or in a construction office.
- Strong IT skills with experience using PowerPoint, Monday.com, Canva, Excel, and data collection tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
