A local government authority in Wales is seeking an Environmental Health Officer for a full-time role focused on private sector housing inspections and public health work. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Environmental Health and excellent communication skills. Environmental Health Officer (Housing) – Full Time Fixed Term (for 2 years)
Grade/Salary GO8 (SCP 32 to 35) £42,839 - £46,142 - Based at Ty Dewi Sant Offices, Ewloe/ Hybrid Working
We are looking for professional, competent and enthusiastic people who are able to communicate well at all levels, with the ability to cope with a demanding workload.
Your role will focus on private sector housing inspections, dealing with houses of multiple occupation (HMO’s), complaint investigations, along with public health work associated with residential properties.
The role requires a degree in Environmental Health, ideally with experience as an Environmental Health Officer working in the field of Housing Enforcement. However, applications from recently qualified candidates will also be welcomed.
The role requires excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to work, and a solution focused outlook.

Welsh speaking and writing skills are desirable.
