Environmental & Sustainability Manager - Major Construction Project (Newport)

We are seeking an experienced Environmental & Sustainability Manager to take a lead role on a landmark data centre construction project in Newport. This is a long-term opportunity (c. 3 years) to be part of one of the most high-profile builds in the region, offering excellent career prospects and an attractive package.

Responsibilities
  • Lead environmental and sustainability activities on site, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Develop and implement site-specific sustainability plans in line with corporate and project goals.
  • Monitor environmental performance, carry out audits, and provide regular reporting to project leadership.
  • Engage with subcontractors and stakeholders to drive best practice in environmental management.
  • Advise on waste reduction, carbon management, and sustainable construction methods.
  • Act as the key point of contact for all environmental and sustainability matters on site.
About You
  • Proven experience in an Environmental and/or Sustainability Manager role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, ISO standards, and sustainability frameworks.
  • Track record of successfully delivering on large-scale or complex construction projects.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Prepared to be based on site in Newport for the duration of this major project (approx. 3 years).
