A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Environmental Advisor for a high-profile rail project in Suffolk. The ideal candidate will have a degree in an Environmental discipline and experience in civil engineering and rail projects. You will be responsible for promoting environmental performance and advising project teams on sustainability matters. This is a freelance position based in Leiston, UK.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Environmental discipline or equivalent required.
  • Experience in civil engineering and rail projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update and review the Environmental Management System.
  • Advise project teams on environmental responsibilities.
  • Promote continuous improvement of environmental performance.

Skills

Expert knowledge of environmental policies

Overview

Environmental Advisor for a High profile Rail project in Suffolk. Reporting to the Environmental Manager, you will be required to promote the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement of environmental, sustainability and community relations aspects of the project.

Responsibilities
  • Have expert knowledge in and demonstrate the requirements of the Environmental and Sustainability policies
  • Be familiar with and deliver requirements of the UK Health and Safety and Environment Policies and IFE programme
  • Develop, update and review the Environmental Management System
  • Advise and support project team with managing their environmental and sustainability responsibilities
  • Promote continuous improvement of environmental performance on specific projects
  • Provide advice, support and assistance to all project personnel to enable them to manage their environmental responsibilities
Qualifications
  • Degree in Environmental discipline or equivalent
  • Civil engineering and rail project experience
