A major healthcare provider in Tamworth is seeking a compassionate Enrolled Nurse for a permanent full-time position. You will provide individualised, patient-centred care in a diverse rehabilitation ward. The role requires effective communication and strong teamwork skills to support clients with various rehabilitation needs. Provide individualised, patient-centred care from admission to discharge across a diverse rehabilitation ward, supporting clients aged 16 and up.
To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified for the position; in this instance, you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.

You’ll be based at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, a major northern NSW referral hospital with approximately 270 inpatient beds, 8 Operating Theatres, a 12-bed ICU, 8-bed CCU, Medical, Surgical, Orthopaedic, Palliative Care, and Specialised Rehabilitation Units. The hospital combines modern facilities with a friendly, collaborative workplace culture.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Enrolled Nurse to expand your career in rehabilitation, working within a supportive and enthusiastic multidisciplinary team. You will provide individualised care to patients from admission to discharge, supporting clients with diverse needs including Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury, Neurological Disorders, Lower Limb Amputees, General Debility, Geriatric Assessment, and Spinal & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation.
The Rehabilitation Ward has 22 beds and operates 24/7, caring for clients aged 16 years and older. You’ll work closely with Rehabilitation and Geriatric specialists, with guidance and mentoring from Nurse Unit Managers, clinical leaders, and the education team. A comprehensive orientation, supernumerary shifts, and ongoing professional development opportunities are provided to ensure you feel supported and confident in your role.
