An educational service provider is seeking an English Tutor to support students outside of mainstream school placements. The role involves delivering tailored tuition sessions, planning lessons to meet individual needs, and tracking student progress. Are you passionate about English and making a difference in young lives? TP Tutors is looking for dedicated and compassionate English Tutors to support students who are currently outside of mainstream school placements.
As an English Tutor with TP Tutors, you will work on a 1:1 or small group basis with students who require additional support with their learning. These students may be in alternative provisions, learning from home, or waiting for suitable school placements. Your role will be vital in helping them stay engaged with education, develop confidence, and achieve their potential in English.
Deliver high-quality, tailored English tuition sessions (KS3–KS4 level)
Plan engaging and personalised lessons to meet individual learning needs
Track progress and provide regular feedback to TP Tutors and guardians
Build trust and rapport with learners, often in sensitive or challenging situations
Strong knowledge of the English curriculum (GCSE level desirable)
Teaching or tutoring experience (QTS, PGCE, or relevant tutoring experience)
Empathetic, patient, and able to motivate disengaged learners
Confident working independently and managing your own schedule
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
