Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team starting in September 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language, with the ability to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and department initiatives.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational best practices and developments.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
