Overview

Job Title: English Teacher - SEN School
Location: Nottingham
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £160 - £225 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

Provide Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher with an English specialism to join a specialist SEN school in Nottingham. This is a full-time position where the successful candidate will deliver engaging and accessible English lessons tailored to pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess creative English lessons for pupils with diverse learning needs.
  • Differentiate learning to ensure accessibility and engagement for all students.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and SEN staff to provide individualised support.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management and pastoral care.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching English in mainstream or SEN schools.
  • Previous experience working in a SEN setting is desirable but not essential - strong mainstream teachers with a passion for SEN are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies.
  • Child & Adult DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
