Full-Time English Teacher – Havant, Hampshire

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Full-Time English Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school inHavant. This exciting opportunity begins in September 2025.

This role is ideal for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators looking for a fresh challenge in a supportive teaching environment. A school tour is available before being invited back to the school for a more formal interview process. Interviews to take place over the next couple weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Foster a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and a passion for literature.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and tailored support.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent evenings, and wider school activities.
• Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Previous experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level.
• Specialism or strong subject knowledge in English Language.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Suitable for both newly qualified and experienced teachers.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisation skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
• Have anupdated CV(covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps).
