English Teacher / Cover Supervisor - Cambridgeshire

Location: Cambridgeshire (including Huntingdon, Cambridge, Ely, St Neots and surrounding areas)

Salary: £130-£230 per day (depending on role and experience)

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Temporary / Long-term roles

Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing

Role Overview

Aspire People is working with a number of secondary schools across Cambridgeshire who are seeking dynamic and dedicated English Teachers or Cover Supervisors with a strong background in English to join their teams.

Whether you\'re a qualified English teacher or an experienced cover supervisor with a love for literature and language, we have a range of exciting opportunities available to suit your skills and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons (Key Stages 3-4, and KS5 where applicable)
• Cover lessons using provided resources when required
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Promote literacy development and support students in reaching their full potential
• Track and assess student progress and provide feedback

You will need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience as a Cover Supervisor
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and/or Literature
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Aspire People)
• A genuine passion for teaching and student development
