Engineering Technician - Electrical Bias (Milton Keynes)

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the Automation and Production teams to implement new technologies to minimise downtime, improve plant performance and ensure that this modern food processing site always runs optimally.
  • Performing regular equipment inspections, diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs while keeping accurate records.
  • Responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Implementing preventative maintenance and working with automation partners to avoid recurring issues.
  • Supporting FAT, SAT and installation activities, including occasional travel to Europe.
  • Training and assisting operators on equipment use and maintenance.
  • Managing spare parts inventory and ordering replacements as needed.
  • Collaborating with Automation Engineering to improve systems and introduce new technologies.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and addressing potential hazards.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (ideally apprentice trained).
  • Previous food/FMCG experience (food, drink, pharmaceutical/health care, baby products, pet food, packaging, cosmetics etc.).
Role Details
  • Shift pattern: Monday-Friday, double days.
  • Salary: £50,000-£55,000 + package including:
  • Enhanced holiday entitlement (15% above industry average)
