We're Hiring: Engineering Shift Supervisor
Location: London, UB7 0EQ | Shift Pattern: 42 hours (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)
As a site-based 'Resilience Supervisor', you will play a key role in on-site operations.
You will supervise a team of engineers during your shift, including electrical and mechanical-biased shift and day engineers. You will be responsible for maintaining electrical and mechanical infrastructure, demonstrating excellent communication skills, taking ownership of tasks, and setting a proactive example for your team. Ensuring KPIs are met is crucial. You will ensure all planned maintenance is executed according to schedule, prioritising statutory and mandatory tasks, and managing reactive tasks effectively.
The qualifications required are:
Previous experience working within a critical environment, such as a data centre, is advantageous.
You will lead site activities, ensure team compliance, adhere to SSoW, LOTO, and permitting systems. You will undergo competency assessments for electrical and mechanical systems, and must have HVAP experience, with the ability to safely perform fixed wire testing. You will be responsible for electrical and mechanical installation and repair work, conducting maintenance as per contract requirements, using provided PPE and uniform. IT skills are necessary for accurate record-keeping, and you must fully understand statutory compliance.
You must be available for a call-out rota, hold UK citizenship, and complete DV clearance, which requires a clean criminal record.
