Job summary

A specialist manufacturing client in Renfrew is recruiting an Engineering Shift Technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment. This role involves supporting project delivery, conducting routine maintenance, and repairing equipment while working a schedule of 4 days on, 4 days off. Candidates should have a minimum HNC in engineering and experience in a multi-disciplined maintenance environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven post qualification experience in a multi-disciplined maintenance environment.
  • Experience maintaining a wide range of process equipment.

Overview

Our specialist manufacturing client is currently recruiting an Engineering Shift Technician who will carry out planned and reactive maintenance and associated tasks on their manufacturing equipment.

Please note this role is 4 days on 4 days off (days and nights)

Responsibilities
  • Support project delivery and provide effective control of all technical activities associated with the operation of the manufacturing equipment
  • Provide support to equipment engineering team
  • Maintain awareness of the relevance and importance of activities performed and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives
  • Carrying out routine checks and maintenance on equipment and associated services
  • Carry out repairs and modifications to equipment and services
  • Support and deliver projects to upgrade and install new equipment and services
  • Experienced in fault finding techniques and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to analyse data, report findings and recommend improvement actions
  • Collect and maintain documentation to meet safety, quality and project compliance and legislation
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Proven post qualification experience of working within a multi-disciplined maintenance environment is essential
  • Experience of maintaining a wide range of process equipment
  • Competent in the use of CMMS systems
