Job Title: Engineering Geologist

Location: Derby

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Geologist to join a well-established environmental and geotechnical consultancy in the Midlands. You'll have the chance to join a geotechnical leading specialist, delivering high-quality civil, environmental, and geotechnical projects across the region. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of projects, combining both on-site and office-based work, providing excellent opportunities to broaden your skills and experience.

Role Overview

As an Engineering Geologist, you will be responsible for supporting ground investigation design, conducting Phase 1 desk studies, producing interpretative reports, and carrying out geotechnical and environmental risk assessments. You will also undertake soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and client liaison. The role offers the chance to mentor junior team members while developing your own expertise through close collaboration with senior and principal engineers.

Requirements
  • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience in ground investigation or geotechnical/environmental projects
  • Reside within a commutable distance to Derby
