Engineering Extrusion Assistant - Extrusion Department
Bridgwater 27,000 plus Two Annual Bonuses Permanent Monday to Friday Early Friday Finish (1pm)

Are you looking to build a long-term career in engineering or machine operations? Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Bridgwater for an Engineering Machine Operative to join their busy extrusion department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or manufacturing experience who's eager to step into a technical role - full training is provided!

Key Duties
  • Operate various production machines including large press machines.
  • Perform visual and dimensional quality checks on finished parts.
  • Moulding operations: set up moulds, run presses, and trim excess material.
  • Mix and cast silicone products.
  • Operate trimming, laser marking, and assembly machinery.
  • Label and prepare goods for dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate production records and paperwork.
  • Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures.
  • Support other departments when required, working towards lean manufacturing standards.
Requirements
  • Previous warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience (essential).
  • Machine operation or rubber manufacturing experience (desirable).
  • Good attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
  • Comfortable working with small components while wearing gloves.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt across departments.
  • Understanding of health and safety in a factory environment.
