Job description
Solicitor (Engineering & Construction) — South East • Hybrid • Permanent • £70,000-85,000 per annum

Sellick Partnership is pleased to be supporting one of the country's largest utilities companies in their search for a Solicitor (Engineering & Construction) to join them on a permanent basis. The successful Solicitor will get the chance to work autonomously on a range of high‑value projects of national importance while also working closely with the wider in‑house legal function. The Solicitor will work within a close‑knit team, within a larger multi‑specialist team. The Solicitor will be able to benefit from flexible working arrangements, but will be required to attend the office based in the South East at least once a week.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified Solicitor with previous in‑house experience or an experienced lawyer from practice looking to make the move in‑house.

Responsibilities
  • Deal with a full remit of non‑contentious commercial matters.
  • Deal with complex contracting and contractual matters on a regular basis.
  • Advise on the legal ramifications and structuring of a wide range of commercial arrangements and diverse projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts and agreements, including the NEC4 suite of contracts.
