The role
The role will support the delivery of airspace change, required by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) at the three MAG airports as part of the Governments UK wide Airspace Modernisation Strategy. Working in a dedicated Future Airspace team across the Group, the role will work directly with a diverse mix of external and internal stakeholders and contribute to the delivery of the Future Airspace project at an airport level. MAGs Future Airspace Programme is part of a national programme of change.
You will play a key role in the delivery of the engagement and consultation activities for the MAG airport Airspace Change Proposals (ACPs). You will ensure that the ACP consultations are prepared and executed in line with the agreed consultation strategy and regulatory requirements. This will include creating clear, engaging and accessible materials tailored to a diverse range of stakeholders, organising and delivering consultation events, driving stakeholder engagement with the ACPs and monitoring and reporting on progress. There will be a need for occasional travel to other MAG airports.
What will make you successful in the role?
You will be an excellent communicator, able to understand and convey complex technical information in a clear and accessible way to diverse audiences. You will be skilled at building trust and maintaining productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have a proven track record of working in an engagement role on a complex technical project. You will demonstrate experience in designing, managing, and evaluating consultation activities, ideally for major infrastructure projects. You will be proactive in identifying new approaches, tools, and methods to enhance engagement and consultation practices. You will be adaptable, comfortable working in dynamic environments, and responsive to evolving stakeholder needs. Interest or experience in aviation would be beneficial but is not essential.
