Energy Modeller

I am working in partnership with a well‑established and forward‑thinking engineering consultancy, recognised for delivering sustainable, low‑carbon building solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Energy Modeller to support an expanding project portfolio and play a key role in the delivery of high‑performance, future‑ready buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about net‑zero design and technical innovation.

Essential Criteria
  • Strong experience using IES VE for energy, load and compliance modelling
  • Proven ability to undertake overheating assessments in line with TM52 and TM59
  • Practical experience with net‑zero technologies, including heat pumps, MVHR, solar PV and high‑performance building fabrics
  • Ability to translate complex modelling outputs into clear, client‑ready technical reports
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects independently
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience with Part L compliance, EPC modelling and regulatory submissions
  • Broader dynamic thermal modelling experience, including natural ventilation and climate resilience studies
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as BREEAM, WELL or LETI
  • Exposure to automation or scripting tools (e.g. Python)
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
