Job description

Join our friendly team here at Rotherham, this is permanent postfor 22.5 hours per week.

As an Endoscopy porter you will be responsible for supporting your manager in ensuring that patient flow is met within the Endoscopy Department.

Main Duties

  • The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinaryteam delivering a range of designated tasks/duties of a clinical and non-clinical nature including personal compassionate care to patients, working within agreed policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for the moving and handling of patients between the department, wards and other relevant departments.
  • Responsible for the transport of medical equipment, specimens, linen, beds, blood products, hazardous substances, drugs and fluids between the Endoscopy Department and relevant service areas.
  • Cleaning of clinical areas as necessary within the department.
Main duties of the job

The post holder will work under the supervision of the NMC/AHP Registrant at all times, who holds delegated accountability for the work designated.
