A regional healthcare provider is seeking an Endoscopy porter to join their team in Rotherham. This permanent position involves supporting patient flow within the Endoscopy Department, transporting medical equipment, and maintaining cleanliness. Candidates should demonstrate compassionate care, possess knowledge of health and safety procedures, and be willing to undertake necessary training. As an Endoscopy porter you will be responsible for supporting your manager in ensuring that patient flow is met within the Endoscopy Department.
Main Duties
The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering a range of designated tasks/duties of a clinical and non- clinical nature including personal compassionate care to patients, working within agreed policy and procedures. Responsible for the moving and handling of patients between the department, wards and other relevant departments. Responsible for the transport of medical equipment, specimens, linen, beds, blood products, hazardous substances, drugs and fluids between the Endoscopy Department and relevant service areas. Cleaning of clinical areas as necessary within the department. The post holder will work under the supervision of the NMC/AHP Registrant at all times, who holds delegated accountability for the work designated.
