Endoscopy Deputy Waiting List Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our management team; this post is ideal for an enthusiastic and self-driven individual wanting to commence their career in a first line management position. The Endoscopy Deputy Booking Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Endoscopy booking team in the efficient and effective operational management of resources in order to deliver continually improving high quality patient care.

The Deputy Waiting List Manager will deputise for the Endoscopy Operational Services Manager and cross cover the Endoscopy Utilisation Co-ordinator. A main focus of this role is to manage the day to day activities of the Endoscopy Booking Office and Endoscopy Receptions, its administration and clerical staff at both the Royal Stoke and County sites by providing supervision, on the job training and acting as a mentor to less experienced staff.

You will also support improvements in waiting list management and performance within the Endoscopy Booking Team and will work as part of a team working to tight deadlines whilst managing your own workload.

Team building skills are imperative, as is the needs to be self motivated with the ability to use your own initiative as and when necessary. You will be required to communicate with staff at all levels and offer solutions to ensure Endoscopy inpatient lists run smoothly and suit the service needs.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have responsibility for ensuring that the Endoscopy Administration and Clerical services at both the Royal Stoke and County sites have sufficient cover to meet service demands to provide administrative support to the Endoscopy Department. To ensure the continuity of the Endoscopy Administration and Clerical service working practises across both sites.

The post holder will assist the Endoscopy Operational Services Manager with staff management which includes responsibility for staff rotas, payroll, maintaining absence records and appraisals, waiting list management, with a specific lead in 2WW Cancer Targets, Data Quality and Governance issues arising within the Endoscopy Administration and Clerical Services.
