Employment Solicitor – Birmingham

A leading, top‑tier employment practice in Birmingham is seeking to add an experienced Employment Solicitor to its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with circa 3+ years’ PQE to join a highly regarded practice working with major education institutions and a diverse commercial client base.

The Role

You will be advising on a broad range of contentious and non‑contentious employment matters, including:

  • Employment Tribunal claims and case management
  • Advisory work for higher education institutions and commercial employers
  • Employee relations, HR support, and day‑to‑day operational advice
  • Redundancy, restructuring, and change management projects
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
  • Delivering training, seminars, and legal updates to clients
  • Supporting business development initiatives across key sectors
About You
  • Circa 3+ years’ PQE in employment law
  • Strong experience gained from a reputable employment practice
  • Confident handling both advisory and Tribunal matters with appropriate supervision
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Team‑focused, commercially aware, and proactive
  • Experience supervising or delegating to junior team members is an advantage
