KeyResponsibilities: As a key member of the EP team, you will:
Maintain and update EP plans,policies, and training records.
Work proactively with wards anddepartments to ensure preparedness for business continuity threats andemergencies.
Provide support to incidentmanagement teams
Prepare for planned outages ofestates and IT systems and services

Workingwith the Head of Resilience and the Resilience Adviser, the post holder will:
Facilitate the development andmaintenance of departmental business continuity and emergency incidentresponses. This will involve taking the lead as directed for specific areasof the Trust.
Co-ordinate and collatedepartmental planning responses to provide a Trust level emergency responseplan covering all reasonable foreseeable internal and externalincidents. This will include majorincidents, pandemics, adverse weather and site integrity issues.
Provide feedback on plans andprogress towards appropriate levels of preparedness, ensuring that responsearrangements are based on the best available evidence and guidance.
Support work to risk assess,evaluate and audit levels of emergency preparedness and resilience withreference to statutory requirements, guidance, best practice and lessonslearnt from real life incident and exercise scenarios.
Ensure that the planning process,risk assessment and reviews are carried out in line with internal audit andexternal assurance and quality standards for emergency preparedness andorganisational resilience, to demonstrate that the relevant standards areachieved and can be appropriately evidenced.
Maintain effective and accessibleinformation systems to record emergency planning and business continuitydata, ensuring that this is accessible in an incident.
Develop, design and delivertraining on emergency planning and business continuity to staff and managersacross the Trust, ensuring that courses are updated to incorporate changes inlocal policy and external guidance and best practice. Ensure all costs incurredare recorded and managed appropriately.
Plan, coordinate and ensuredelivery of a range of emergency preparedness activities including hazardidentification, risk assessments and incidents and ensure these are reviewedand updated on the Trusts Corporate Risk Register, systems and database.
Undertake and lead on a range ofprojects relating to Business Continuity/ Emergency Planning
Provide a source of knowledge andadvice on the theory and practice of emergency incident response and businesscontinuity planning.
Lead on the development of theTrusts command and control rooms.Ensure all equipment, documents and plans within the command andcontrol rooms are regularly audited and tested.
Develop and deliver regular testsof the Trusts emergency call in procedures
Ensue all information on the seniormanagers on call laptop is regularly reviewed and updated.
