JLL EMEA is targeting the Data Centre market as a strategic growth opportunity. As part of the development growth plan, encompassing many of JLLs capabilities including Capital Markets, Agency, Consulting, Project and Development Services (PDS), Energy and Sustainability, and Critical Environment Management, JLL is seeking to hire an experienced Data Centre operations / FM professional to lead the development and operational management of our EMEA Data Centre FM Services business.

  • Being the market face of JLL EMEA Data Centre FM services, nurturing relationships with existing and new customers, and the Data Centre market ecosystem.
  • Operational responsibility for Data Centre FM service delivery.
  • Providing technical advice and expertise to Corporate Solutions Sales leads, Account Directors and clients.
  • Driving increased revenue and profitability from Data Centre related activity.
  • Contributing to the development and growth of JLL EMEA full-service Data Centre practice, including strategic planning, winning new business, recruiting and developing JLL technical capability / talent, and enhancing JLL brand position in the Data Centre market.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Review: business plans, customer relationship development, KPI and financial performance metrics, succession plans.
  • Quality and Safety Management: create a culture of quality and innovation, lead by example in all activities through exceptional standards, ensure mandatory processes are compliant.
  • People Management: team skills, motivation and ability, be visible to the team, train, develop, induct and mentor direct reports.
  • Customer Relations: represent JLL in a professional and credible manner both internally and externally, build and develop high-level customer relationships, deliver service excellence, be accessible and responsive to customers, organise and attend high level social or networking events.
  • Business Development and Marketing: engage during tender/bid activity including sales and operational resourcing, document review and commercial sign off, keep pipeline activity accurate and of suitable quality/volume to enhance business growth.
  • Operational Management: review contract performance and site standards front and back of house, lead mobilisation and transition activity, manage suppliers and any arbitration or disputes professionally, work closely with procurement to maximise use of preferred suppliers with back-to-back performance focused contracts.
  • Financial & Asset Management: ensure revenue, operating profit, working capital and bookings targets are met and continually improved upon without compromising service standards or customer relationships.
Additional Support Roles
  • Corporate Solutions Accounts Teams, Country Teams and Service Lines for Data Centre requirements and contribute to growth of Country and EMEA business lines through sourcing new business and growing accounts /expanding our services.
  • Leading pitches and presentations.
  • Providing advice about country and regional capabilities.
  • Providing assistance to in-country teams on corporate client delivery needs.
  • Managing framework and regional non-framework repeat clients.
  • EMEA escalation and issues resolution for projects and accounts.
  • Work with the Business Development Marketing resource producing marketing materials (statistics, data, pricing, newsletters) and manage development of new materials.
  • Manage relationships and build credibility of the JLL Data Centre practice team across EMEA (internally and externally).
  • Develop new opportunities across JLL services (e.g., PMO, PM, Cost Management, FM Critical Environment M&E, Energy and Sustainability, etc.).
Qualifications
  • Successful track record in running medium to large Datacentre operations.
  • Extensive experience in contract negotiation & business development.
  • Knowledge of and relationships in the Data centre specialist service provider ecosystem.
  • Experience of operating within matrixed and integrated teams.
  • Strong commercial understanding of the Data Centre sector, Enterprise, Hyperscale, Colo.
  • International network in the hyperscale and enterprise space.
  • Ability to engage with CEO/CTO/COO/CIO levels of client organizations and build long-term relationships.
  • An entrepreneurial approach is key.
  • M&E background is critical.
  • International experience.
