Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 guideline + pension

Working Hours: Daytime Monday to Friday. Earlier finish on Fridays.

Electrical and Electronics Design Engineer vacancy with a small friendly mechatronics engineering design manufacturing business with unique products. As Electrical and Electronics Design Engineer, you will work in a team, playing your part with electrical design and electronics engineering design, and discussing ideas and drawings with colleagues in engineering and manufacturing. Products include mechatronic assemblies, electrical layout, and electronics systems for special purpose equipment. This role is focused on the design aspects of electrical and electronic systems in engineering designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical design and Electronics Mechatronics design engineering.
• Developing electrical and electronic designs, and capturing electrical layout and schematics into CAD.
• Working on low volume projects, ensuring the job is often fresh and never gets too repetitive.
• Be part of a team working on different products, with well-managed weekly project review meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Team player, supporting the wider design process as part of a team.
• Experience as an electronics design engineer, electrical design engineer, or mechatronics design engineer.
• HND, Time Served Engineer, BTEC Level 4, HNC, or Electrical Engineering or Electronics degree, with the ability to use CAD software to understand and create engineering drawings and schematics.
• Proven ability to select, design, and test the functionality of electrical and electronic systems through calculations and simulations.
