Electronic / Wiring Loom Technician | Bristol | Up to £18 Per Hour | 6-Month Contract (with Potential Extension)

Are you a hands‑on technician who loves precision, quality, and seeing your work come to life in cutting‑edge technology? This is your chance to join an award‑winning team creating world‑class robotic equipment for the film and TV industry from blockbuster movies to live events seen by millions.

We’re looking for an Electronic / Wiring Loom Technician to support a busy production period with a 6‑month full‑time contract, with the possibility of extension if demand continues.

You’ll be joining a small, friendly, and highly skilled team that takes pride in crafting beautifully engineered products used across the globe. If you thrive in a practical, workshop environment and love building high‑quality, reliable systems, we’d love to hear from you.

What on Offer?
  • Contract: 6 months, full‑time (37.5 hours / week)
  • Hours: 7:00‑16:00 Mon‑Thu, 7:00‑12:30 Fri
  • Pay: £15‑£18 per hour (DOE)
  • Holiday: 28 days per year (including bank holidays)
  • Flexibility: Part‑time considered for exceptional candidates
  • Extension: May be possible depending on production demand
Key Responsibilities
  • Building wiring looms and small‑batch electronic assemblies to exacting standards
  • Hand soldering fine‑pitch connectors and multicore cables
  • Reading and following electrical schematics and work instructions
  • Using specialist crimping tools and other hand tools for manual assembly
  • Collaborating with engineers to refine documentation and processes
What We’re Looking For
Essential
  • Skilled in soldering and wiring to a professional standard
  • Confident reading electrical schematics
  • Familiar with electronic components used in mechatronic or robotic systems
  • A proactive, can‑do team player who enjoys hands‑on work
Desirable
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role (or equivalent skill level)
  • Familiarity with ESD‑safe working practices and quality control
  • Experience with Lemo connectors and inline PCB headers
