Job summary

A leading engineering firm in East Sussex is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to enhance their team. The successful candidate will provide support in new product development and technical assistance within the Engineering Department. Candidates should possess an HNC/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and have a strong background in mechanical engineering. Experience with CAD (Solidworks preferred) is essential, and familiarity with switchgear and railway systems is desired. The role offers a competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £45,000 per annum depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical Engineering.

• Mechanical Engineering knowledge and experience.
• CAD 2D/3D (Solidworks preferred)
• Experience in design of low and medium voltage switchgear, and/or railway overhead line equipment (desirable)
• Experience in mechanical drive and interlock design (desirable)
• Experience of Thermoset and Thermoplastic moulding (desirable)

Salary

40,000 – 45,000 per annum DOE
