Job summary

A leading housing association is looking for an experienced Electrician to join their Local Delivery team on an interim basis. The ideal candidate will perform reactive repairs and electrical testing to ensure compliance with 18th Edition regulations. Applicants should have housing maintenance experience, a full UK driving licence, and willingness to undergo a DBS check. This temporary position offers £23.00-£26.00 per hour, a company van, and fuel card. The role requires 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

Location: King's Lynn / Dereham area (Reporting office TBC)

Contract: Temporary (5-12 weeks)

Hours: 40 per week, Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30

Start: ASAP

Pay: £23.00‑£26.00 per hour (umbrella rate)

About the Role

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading housing association for an experienced Electrician to join their Local Delivery team on an interim basis. You'll handle reactive repairs, voids, and electrical testing to ensure compliance with 18th Edition regulations, and support planned works when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out responsive and void electrical repairs in housing properties
  • Complete testing and inspection to maintain compliance
  • Support planned electrical installations (e.g., kitchens, adaptations)
  • Manage your own workload and meet performance targets
  • Deliver excellent customer service and liaise professionally with tenants
Requirements
  • Fully qualified Electrician with housing/reactive maintenance experience
  • Good IT skills (smartphone/tablet use)
  • Full UK driving licence (state any points)
  • Ability to commute within 45 minutes of King's Lynn/Dereham
  • Willingness to undergo Basic DBS and licence check
  • Desirable: NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds, 18th Edition, Inspection & Testing (2391)
