Job Title: Electrical Tutor

Location: Chelmsford

Start Date: Immediate start

Salary Range: £32-£36 per hour

Role overview

The Head Teacher is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Tutor with teaching experience, on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year. The successful Electrical Tutor will teach Electrical Engineering and inspire learners to pursue a career in the field, while following the schemes of learning to help learners achieve excellent results.

Responsibilities
  • Teach students a subject they are passionate to learn and inspire them to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering.
  • Deliver lessons that promote student engagement inside and outside of class, and follow the college schemes of learning.
  • Support learners to achieve excellent results in a diverse educational setting.
Qualifications
  • A first class or 2:1 degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • QTS, PGCE or DTTLS and experience in a further educational environment; extensive industry experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in teaching young people in a diverse setting.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • SEND and/or pastoral experience is desirable.
