Job description

Overview

The Engineering/Facilities team are responsible for maintaining THG sites, ensuring that all colleagues and visitors are in a clean, safe environment while on site.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, compliance inspections, and regulatory inspections related to the building's electrical infrastructure and on-site assets.
• Diagnose electrical faults and repair or replace defective equipment.
• Ensure compliance documentation is always completed and up to date.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment status and inspections.
• Manage and escort specialist contractors.
• Support on-site installation projects.
• Collaborate with the onsite Facilities, Engineering and Operational teams to coordinate electrical and general maintenance activities.
• High level of H&S awareness (IOSH or NEBOSH preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Electrical installation experience.
• General maintenance experience.
• Experience with lighting, wiring, fire systems, HVAC, and automated doors.
• Knowledge of building regulations and standards, safety regulations, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and follow technical diagrams.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391).
• Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Diploma).
• Familiarity with NICEIC requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is advantageous.
