Job description
Overview

Position 1 Recruitment is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our client’s team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in East Harling, with a competitive salary depending on experience. The role offers the opportunity to advance your career in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment where innovation is continuous. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently install powertrains in vehicles.
  • Follow build and inspection processes, reporting any issues during prototype assembly.
  • Install and route high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) cables to standards.
  • Independently route cooling circuits.
  • Assemble HVAC systems independently.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate them to the Lead Technician.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, escalating to the Lead Technician when needed.
  • Fabricate brackets for hose and cable routing as required.
  • Train team members on wiring techniques to support succession planning.
  • Operate tools and machinery to modify or fabricate parts for testing; work with hand and power tools, digital measuring instruments, and MS Office applications.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience operating tools and machinery to modify or fabricate parts for testing.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team under pressure.
  • Strong proficiency with hand and power tools, digital measuring instruments, and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and safety consciousness.
  • Experience across electrical builds and maintenance on vehicles, machinery, or aircraft.
