Our client is a water and waste water treatment specialist and they are looking for an Electrical Technician to join their growing company!
This role involves predominately site work and a company van will be provided for travel. Occasionally, you may be required to work in other parts of the UK.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all company installations and serviced equipment represent good reference sites
- Optimise the performance of new installation equipment and existing assets as part of continuing new product provision and service and support to end users
- Undertake final testing and commissioning of installations in relation to new and existing equipment
- Carry out service work on company equipment and ancillary equipment including works on company control systems
- Conduct site visits to undertake inspections on company products for mechanical and electrical asset condition reporting and electrical troubleshooting/fault finding
- Provide operator training for the end users of company products and technical support to customers and other departments
- Obtain information for any potential site work or future customer requirements
- Assist in the continual growth of the team by proactively seeking to support the client and offer company solutions
Ideal Candidate
- Worked from mechanical and electrical engineering drawings ideally from an electrical engineering service or a plant/production maintenance background
- Knowledge of three-phase low voltage motor control panels and ideally qualified to 18th Edition IEE regulations
- Completed an apprentice scheme or an NVQ minimum Level 3 in an Electrical / Electrical Maintenance or Electrical Engineering discipline and you will have a minimum of four years’ experience
- Basic understanding / working knowledge of PLC's
- Able to fault find from electrical schematics
- Willing to assist the Mechanical Technicians
- Comfortable / confident to build relationship with clients and suppliers
- Competent IT skills
Working Hours and Benefits
- Monday – Friday: 7:00am to 15:30pm (Overtime available)
- 23 days holiday (which 3 of those will need to be saved for Christmas shutdown) and with the completion of each year of service (providing you have worked a full holiday year - Jan – Dec) you will receive an additional day's holiday up to a maximum of 33 days after ten years.
- 4 % employer pension, employee contribution is 4%, we increase our contribution after 5 years to 6%
- Company discretionary bonus: 10 % of the company’s profit before tax is annually shared amongst all employees – you will receive it pro-rata for the previous financial year
