Applicants should have a strong MEP and building services background, ideally from a major contractor, along with relevant electrical certifications. This is a 12-month contract with an immediate start.

Qualifications

• Strong background in MEP/building services from a Tier 1 contractor.
• Experience with industrial developments is beneficial.

Electrical Site Manager – Somerset

12 Month Contract | £negotiable | Immediate Start

We are working with a well-regarded M&E contractor to appoint an experienced Electrical Site Manager for a large scale industrial development in Somerset.

The Role

The Electrical Site Manager will take full responsibility for the on-site electrical installation, ensuring all works are delivered safely, to specification, and in line with programme requirements. You will oversee subcontractors, coordinate with internal project and design teams, engage with clients, and manage the electrical package through installation, commissioning, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily on-site electrical activities
• Work closely with project managers, design teams, and client representatives
• Ensure electrical works are completed on time, on budget, and to required quality standards
• Oversee subcontractor performance, enforce health & safety compliance, and deliver toolbox talks
• Collaborate with mechanical and other technical disciplines to support seamless project delivery
• Attend progress meetings and contribute technical insights when required
• Support procurement, material planning, and scheduling
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise commissioning activities

Requirements

• Proven track record as an Electrical Manager or Electrical Site Manager
• Strong MEP / building services background, ideally from a Tier 1 contractor or major subcontractor
• Experience on industrial developments is beneficial
• Relevant qualifications : SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and appropriate electrical certifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
• Capable of managing multiple subcontractors and driving high-performance teams
