Electrical Package / Project / Contracts Manager - Data Centre

Chertsey, Surrey | Up to £90,000 + electric company car / car allowance + bonus + PMI

Permanent | Tier-1 Data Centre Project

A new phase is about to start on a major data centre campus in Chertsey, and they're looking for an Electrical Package / Project / Contracts Manager to take ownership of the electrical works from early coordination through to commissioning and handover.

The Project
  • New phase on a large, live data centre campus in Chertsey

You’ll be embedded with a strong, multi-disciplinary delivery team used to working in critical environments and delivering complex MEP installations to demanding end‑users.

The Role

You’ll take full responsibility for the electrical package on the project - combining technical leadership with programme, quality, HSEQ and commercial awareness.

Experience as an AP (Authorised Person) and confidence in HV/LV environments will be a distinct advantage.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own the electrical package strategy – planning, sequencing, resourcing and interface management
  • Lead the electrical site team and manage the supply chain (specialist subcontractors, vendors, manufacturers)
  • Drive programme performance: lookaheads, weekly updates, progress tracking and recovery planning where required
  • Ensure robust HSEQ standards are maintained, with visible safety leadership and up‑to‑date records
  • Lead QA: ITPs, inspections, benchmarking, snag/defect management and close‑out to client handover standard
  • Make sure installations are delivered in line with design, spec, client standards and relevant regulations
  • Take ownership of technical issues: manage RFIs/TQs, design clarifications and close‑out with design and client teams
  • Oversee procurement: take‑offs, requisitions, lead times, deliveries and logistics coordination
  • Compile and review RAMS, keeping them live as methodology and site conditions evolve
  • Support testing, commissioning, IST and handover, including O&M documentation and completion records
  • Report into the senior project/contract leadership, flagging key risks, constraints and progress in a clear, solutions‑focused way
About You
  • Proven track record running electrical packages on large‑scale MEP or critical infrastructure projects
  • Data centre experience highly desirable, but candidates from hospitals, pharma, labs, airports or other live critical environments will also be considered
  • Strong subcontractor and interface management skills in complex, highly coordinated settings
  • Confident balancing technical delivery with programme, quality, cost and risk
  • Comfortable client‑facing, able to push for close‑out while maintaining strong relationships
  • AP / HV experience within live environments is a strong plus
