Job description
Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: East Midlands

Contract: Permanent

Shift Pattern: Rotating 3-shift system (earlies, lates, nights)

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Carry out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the facility
  • Quickly diagnose and rectify electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
  • Provide rapid response to breakdowns to support continuous production
  • Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time
  • Follow and contribute to the site TPM programme
  • Supervise external contractors and manage supplier relationships for spares and services
  • Control the stores/spares inventory and help manage maintenance budgets
  • Attend daily production meetings and give clear engineering updates
  • Keep technical records, manuals and drawings up to date
  • Champion safe working practices and full compliance with health & safety standards
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Electrically-biased technician with strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostics
  • Hands‑on PLC fault‑finding experience (reading ladders, basic parameter changes - Siemens/Allen‑Bradley/Omron advantageous)
  • Previous experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment (ideally automotive or plastics)
  • Knowledge of injection moulding machines (#removed# tonne presses) is highly advantageous
  • Overhead crane licence desirable
  • Good communication skills and a genuine team player
