Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: East Midlands
Contract: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Rotating 3-shift system (earlies, lates, nights)
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the facility
- Quickly diagnose and rectify electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
- Provide rapid response to breakdowns to support continuous production
- Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time
- Follow and contribute to the site TPM programme
- Supervise external contractors and manage supplier relationships for spares and services
- Control the stores/spares inventory and help manage maintenance budgets
- Attend daily production meetings and give clear engineering updates
- Keep technical records, manuals and drawings up to date
- Champion safe working practices and full compliance with health & safety standards
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Electrically-biased technician with strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostics
- Hands‑on PLC fault‑finding experience (reading ladders, basic parameter changes - Siemens/Allen‑Bradley/Omron advantageous)
- Previous experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment (ideally automotive or plastics)
- Knowledge of injection moulding machines (#removed# tonne presses) is highly advantageous
- Overhead crane licence desirable
- Good communication skills and a genuine team player
