Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Dudley
Salary: £33,123 – £36,000 (including shift allowance) + Overtime
Rotating Shifts: 6am–2pm | 2pm–10pm (possibility of nights in the future)

The Role
You’ll be part of a two-person maintenance team on a rotating shift pattern, working alongside a Mechanical Engineer. Your focus will be on ensuring the electrical systems and equipment are running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out both preventative and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults during breakdowns
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety protocols
  • Completing daily shift reports and necessary documentation
Key Tasks
  • Electrical fault finding and repairs on industrial machinery
  • Working with control panels, motors, and sensors
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs (advantageous)
  • Participation in installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Occasional support with mechanical tasks during breakdowns
What We’re Looking For
  • Completed Electrical Apprenticeship or time-served in a similar role
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or Maintenance
  • Previous experience in heavy industry or steel processing (desirable)
  • Good understanding of safety procedures and electrical regulations
