Are you passionate about sharing your knowledge and shaping the next generation of electricians? This is your chance to step into a rewarding teaching role where you'll inspire apprentices, help them achieve recognised qualifications, and stay hands-on with the latest in the electrical industry.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Trainer who enjoys bringing theory and practice to life. You'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality training at Levels 2 and 3, guiding learners through their journey and supporting them every step of the way.

This role is open to both those with teaching qualifications but also to those currently working on the tools, looking to make the step into a training role.

What You\'ll Do
  • Create and deliver engaging lessons that cover both classroom and workshop learning.
  • Assess apprentices' progress, sign off coursework, and ensure awarding body standards are met.
  • Keep accurate learner records, providing updates to training officers and employers.
  • Maintain stock and advise on equipment needs for smooth course delivery.
  • Encourage discipline, professionalism, and safety within all learning environments.
  • Support apprentices to successfully complete their programme on time.
  • Promote safeguarding and ensure learner welfare remains a top priority.
  • Respond to queries from apprentices, employers, and stakeholders in a helpful, professional way.
  • Contribute ideas, resources, and energy to continuously improve training delivery.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and maintain your own professional skills.
What We're Looking For

Must Have:

  • A Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Electrical Installation.
  • Maths and English GCSEs at Grade A-C (9-4) or equivalent.
  • Teaching experience within Electrical Installations (including blended/remote delivery).
  • Current knowledge of the electrical trade and industry standards.
  • Teaching qualification at Level 5 (Certificate in Education or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it.
  • Strong IT skills and confident presentation abilities.
  • Relevant work experience in the electrical services sector.
  • An understanding of the Further Education environment.

Nice to Have:

  • A Health & Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely).
  • Assessor qualifications (D32, D33, A1, or TAQA).
  • Internal Verifier qualifications (D34, V1, or TAQA).
  • Awareness of the Building Services or Contracting industry.
