You will use your skills and industry knowledge to support the development of the next generation of electricians. You will deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across a range of programmes, from full-time students to apprentices, ensuring that learners are equipped with the technical expertise and confidence they need to succeed in their chosen career. Your practical experience will allow you to bring lessons to life, combining theory with hands-on training that reflects current industry practice.
You will be part of a welcoming and committed Engineering team where your passion for the electrical trade will make a real difference to our learners’ experiences. Whether you are working in the workshop, teaching in the classroom or visiting learners in the workplace, you will play an important part in helping them achieve their goals.
You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress and provide constructive feedback that supports individual development. You will adapt your approach to meet the needs of different learners, ensuring that they gain not only the technical knowledge but also the professional behaviours required in the electrical industry. Alongside this, you will maintain accurate records and keep up to date with awarding body requirements, industry standards and health and safety legislation.
Collaboration will also be central to your role, as you work closely with colleagues and employers to deliver an excellent learning experience. Through your guidance and support, you will help learners progress successfully into employment or further study, making a meaningful contribution to both their future and the wider industry.
You are a candidate who combines strong technical expertise in Electrical Installation with a genuine commitment to teaching and developing learners. You have hands-on industry experience across a range of electrical installation settings and can translate that experience into engaging, practical teaching.
You are confident in delivering lessons to learners at different levels, from beginners to more advanced apprentices, and can assess and support their progress effectively. You are adaptable, able to tailor your teaching methods and resources to meet the varying needs and abilities of your learners.
You are organised and professional, able to maintain accurate records, plan lessons, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and awarding body standards. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work closely with learners, colleagues, and employers to provide a positive and supportive learning experience.
You have a passion for the electrical trade and a desire to inspire others, along with a commitment to continuous professional development. This ensures you can provide learners with the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to progress successfully into their careers.
