A well-respected college in Derby is seeking a full-time temporary Teacher of Electrical Engineering to deliver Level 2 and Level 3 courses while they await a permanent team member. You will join a supportive engineering department, conducting both practical and theoretical sessions in line with the curriculum. Location: A forward-thinking college in Derby

Start Date: 26 January 2026

End Date: 27 February 2026

Working Days: Tuesday to Friday (Full-time 37 hours per week)

Pay Rate: £200-£230 a day + 12.07% holiday pay

The Role

Think FE is working with a well‑respected college in Derby to recruit a Teacher of Electrical Engineering for a full‑time temporary position. This role covers the delivery of Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Engineering while the college awaits a new permanent team member.

You'll be joining a forward‑thinking and supportive engineering department, delivering both practical and theory‑based sessions in line with the curriculum.

You Will Need
  • A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTLS or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Engineering
  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
